The Washington Wind Symphony is made up of adult wind and percussion musicians who are interested in performing high quality, challenging wind band music. The group includes semi-professional musicians, music educators, private teachers, as well as talented musicians in non-music related careers.

The group presents four concerts a year, and rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 PM at Redmond High School. There are also dress rehearsals the Friday evening prior to the concert.

The Wind Symphony fills needed positions by inviting players to join the group for a rehearsal or concert cycle. The section leader and conductor will evaluate the player’s performance, and a formal audition will take place before a regular spot in the group is offered.

The Wind Symphony is currently looking for members in the following sections:

  • Bassoon
  • Percussion
  • Harp
  • In addition, the symphony is currently looking to add players to section substitute lists!

If you would like to be considered for a seat in the Wind Symphony, or would like to be on a substitute list, please contact the Personnel Manager at joinus@washingtonwindsymphony.org or use the Contact Us form.
